November 2025 | Rural Health Transformation Dollars
In just two months, the State of South Dakota will be the recipient of Rural Health
Transformation Program funds set aside in the Big Beautiful Bill passed by Congress
this summer to improve rural health care and make innovations in access to care.
South Dakota Urban Indian Health is uniquely positioned to request these funds from
the state to transform our own healthcare delivery system, for all of our relatives in
Pierre and Sioux Falls.
We would like to use the funds to support new providers, an enhanced Community
Health Representative (CHR) program, new technology support, a pharmacy, an
incentive based wraparound service to encourage our relatives to make a deeper
investment into their healthcare and the care of their families among other things.
We have been proactive in putting forth a proposal to the state. Your prayers and good
thoughts for our proposal to be accepted by the state would be a great gift to us.
