South Dakota Urban Indian Health (SDUIH) hosted its first-ever Cultural Camp for Urban Native youth on sacred land in Vermillion, South Dakota, August 4-6. Over 60 kids ages 7 to 17 attended the three-day camp to learn about culture and community. SDUIH brought in spiritual leaders from around the state to teach about cultural traditions, including prayer songs, dances, games, and the importance of being a good relative.
