Hope in the Heartland: A Medicaid Expansion Film Event
Access to affordable health care is something that we all need.
But due to complicated rules and gaps in services offered at Indian Health Services, thousands of Indigenous South Dakotans can’t access the care they need.
Join us for a screening of two short documentaries illustrating the impacts these gaps have on our Indigenous and non-Native relatives, and learn how expanding Medicaid will strengthen our circles and empower us all to live healthier lives.
The doors will open at 5:30 pm, and the program will start at 6 pm. The concessions stand will be open, so plan to come early and pick up some popcorn and a good seat for the screening! Voter registration and information about early voting and the election will be available in the lobby before and after the screening.
